HUMMINGBIRDS

We've always put out hummingbird feeders; we've always supplied all our birds with plenty of sunflower seeds.  Everything gets fed at Cotton Branch!! I've heard about people using pounds and pounds of sugar filling their feeders and we're experiencing that now.  We've never had as many hummingbirds as we have this year!  Some days we fill them up four times.  There are as many as thirty birds flitting around the two feeders. Fascinating to watch; amazing really! How on earth do those little birds that weigh less than a ball point pen fly from Canada to Costa Rica? 
This is just a small portion of what we see each day. I'm going to try to video them tomorrow. The little things are so precious!! Loving our hummingbirds and wishing them a safe journey to their winter home.
