This is the fourth day of our visit from "Gustav". It has been raining almost constantly since early Sunday. He came through with a vengence but did not leave much physical damage--just limbs and leaves, lots of water and we had only one tree down in the yard. As the people on the news were saying, "we dodged a bullet". Thankfully, electricity can be restored and minor inconveniences can be endured. No homes or businesses were lost. People had the forethought to prepare and pay attention.
Cotton Branch flooded and flowed. Ryan tried to drive over the "concrete bridge" but decided he better not do that. The boys were here and performed a rescue [or rather three]. They found three hummingbirds in the garage and caught and released them. I did manage to get off a quick shot. The boys were so happy to have held a real hummingbird.
Ed has called several times saying that the tornado alarm is going off in Meadville. Janice just called [followed by a call from Linda] to say that a tornado just went over Bude. Looks like we dodged another bullet.
