After the rain today we spent time at the pool. Later after the sun was not so bright we went over to the beach again. Libby and I walked while Julia played in the water. We saw two arches set up for weddings so naturally we decided to hang around and watch. One couple had two small girls all dressed up in beautiful plaid dresses with red bows in their hair. It was only the man and woman and the preacher [?] with a hawaiian shirt. I kept watching and felt so badly that no one was taking pictures of this special event. Not wanting to interupt the ceremony, I waited until they finished and then asked if I could take pictures. They were delighted and let me use their camera to "catch the day" for them. I wish I had asked sooner to get the whole ceremony.
The second wedding had the very same preacher about an hour later!! Same shirt!! This one had guests, bridesmaids [blue dresses on right] and groomsmen [white shirts and khakis]. The bride [between the two columns on the left] had on a white dress. The preacher played a CD but we couldn't hear it. He seemed to be in charge. After they started the ceremony we left the beach. We just wanted to know where the cake was!! :)
After showers, walking Dooley and having grilled chicken and salad, we've settled down for a movie and some ice cream. It's a hard life being at the beach. What a way to live!!
