you have a "head signing" instead of a cast signing!! :) I don't know where I came up with this idea (and if I got it from someone who is reading this, I'm sorry you're not getting the credit!) but I woke up the other day and decided I wanted all the grandchildren to SIGN MY HEAD!!! Only a couple of the kids had seen me since I lost my hair. I knew it would probably shock them and I wanted it to be as painless as possible for them (and me!). I invited them all over today for ice cream and cake and we had a ball. I told them all the "story" and then unveiled. The looks on some of the faces were priceless. Sam was the first to sign since he's the youngest. That broke the ice. Hayden went second; they all used a different color. Bryden took this very seriously but in the end I got a hug and a smile. Shelby was all smiles after she "seriously" wrote her name. She loves to wear caps! Ben came in and gave me a huge hug. He wrote his name in purple (my favorite) and it was BIG! Graham got the "neatness" award. He wrote his name beautifully. He is my sweetheart. My "totally blonde" Abbey stands in the prayer line at church to pray for me. How could you not love a girl like that? She's beautiful. The newest teenager in the family [Emily] wrote in pink. I knew she would. Ryan wrote in "John Deere Green". It goes to show you he's not too old. His girlfriend Haleigh came too. Thanks Haleigh, for taking part in the "head and hat" signing party. It seems you've been around for lots of important events lately. I'm glad. I had a hat that I was going to use, but-----they presented me with this one. I love it! After the hat was signed we ate ice cream cake and went outside. The kids stood still for one more picture and then romped and played with the dogs. We had a great afternoon and I am thankful for that. Since we can't do "Sunday lunches" for a while we'll plan Sunday play dates. God will bless those times and we'll enjoy each other.
