"The most consistent thing around here is inconsistency." Yesterday was total chaos around here--not just for me but for everyone--and I can't really tell you why--cause we don't know! But I do know that things have to settle down at some point! :) Having two new dogs has made Ed and me rethink whether we NEEDED two new dogs! :) They demand attention and care. But we love them and are glad we have them. Someone said we're having reverse empty nest syndrome. That's a hoot!
Houdini's Mama-Magic had her baby several days ago and has refused to let me get a good picture of her baby. Let's hope that this little girl is NOT like Houdini who swims under fences and walks over cattle gaps--hence the name Houdini!
On Wednesday Linda called me to say that "a horse is having a baby out here, come quick." Ed was still here and so were three of the boys. We all went out and Ed helped get the sack from around the baby. We stayed and watched until HE stood up! Yea, for Sissy! This is her fifth baby and she finally had a boy. Papa Ed was proud.
He took his first wobbly steps as we sat there cheering him on. He looks just like his mom too.
You've heard the term "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours". Well, this is the optimum--- Graham noticed Bucky and one of the Vines mares over by the fence and said, "Nana, you should get a picture of that." A good neck rub--who wouldn't love that?
I wish I had taken the time to fix my hair today. Libby took this picture of Heather and me at my first chemo treatment. She was trying to distract me. It took two sticks. I had a reaction to the treatment but I am fine. Ed is watching over me like a guardian angel and I have other angels all around--seen and unseen. The other nurse said that within 10 to 14 days my hair should be gone. Being the stubborn soul I am, I'm praying it won't. Being the realist I am--I'm mentally trying to get prepared. I've earned every gray hair on this head and I really want to keep it--straight and all. Soooooo, if it's alright with you, and God will let me, I'm praying for healing and straight, gray hair.
Now, it's up to you to figure out why the title fits.
