DOVE SEASON!!! And all through the house were sounds of little (?) feet and shotgun shells dropping on the floor! The Cowart boys spent the night so they could "get up early" to go dove hunting. They laid out their clothes and guns (even Sam) and got up at 5:30 AM bright eyed and ready.
Well, they might not have been bright eyed but they were definitely READY!!! 
The dove hunt proved successful with over 300 birds. We spent the rest of the day preparing for a great dinner with about 50 guests. The kids swam and the adults chatted (or bragged) about their shots and how many shells they used. When the day was over no one had to be rocked to sleep and it had been a good day. Way to go, guys (and girls!)
