We're in Jackson at St. Dominic's Hospital waiting for surgery. Last night Mom asked me, "what are they going to do to me?" She didn't remember the visit to the doctor last week, or the week in the hospital a couple of weeks ago. She will be getting a VP Shunt some time today. Surgery for anyone is a risk, but for a woman who is 82 years old with heart disease and diabetes there is more risk. I know I am doing the right thing for my Mom. I want her to have some quality time for the remainder of her days. Please pray with me that this procedure will work and that she will have some of those good days left. The doctors (and everyone who will be involved) have to have burnt ears because I have been praying for them all to do their very best for Mom. For now, Joddie, I am "Just Push"ing. (Pray Until Something Happens) I'll keep you all posted on her progress.
